caring for older people competition

location: England, London

The idea of this project was to create a urban structure using fractal geometry which can easily adapt to an existing city. We used the concept of genealogical tree which has no limit and can freely extend. The city for old people is organized in a way that each can easily benefit of the facilities and the beautiful view. The horizontal organization of the buildings is for those who have problems and difficulties to move and are closer to the city and intervention headquarters. Each neighbourhood is provided with a hospital or assistance service area. Without changing the density the buildings organized on vertical (not more than three floors) are designated for old people who can take care of themselves and move from one place to another without having any problem. They also have easy access to the entertainment area. One can chose the rhythm and the way of life: if they like to go fishing, playing golf, or just walking in the nature. The opportunity of this solution is that everyone can choose the kind of the life he likes.
